Wowweee! What a weekend we have had.
So this last Sunday January 27, 2008 was suppose to be a real fun day for us. We had planned to have Rylec's Blessing at church with all our family invited and to follow after church we were going to celebrate Corina's 3rd Birthday as it was. The only thing is that it was not a good day.
Starting Thursday night Corina began to get sick and by Friday Night it really started to get bad. She was throwing up like crazy and into Sunday (on her birthday) it was the worst. Somehow we still managed to have Rylec's blessing (which was actually sooo wonderful and special, even among all the craziness that day) only barely making it to Sacrament while my Mom sacrificed missing it so she could watch Corina. After we made it home, we managed to get this picture...as you can see how sick Corina looked. We were pretty scared when her lips turned purple after throwing up and she was very lethargic. After all the fluid she had lost in her body and knowing how Jay had to be hospitalized for the same thing a few years ago...I didnt hesitate to call 911. So the ambulence came and everything and she and her Daddy rode to the hospital while my parents helped me and Rylec come after.
Well after she was checked out and everything at the hospital they gave her medicine to help her keep food down and then sent us home just saying it was a virus. Of course I knew it probably was..but I didnt know if she was dangerously dehydrated or losing oxygen and those were my reasons for calling 911. It may have been a pretty expensive choice...but we'll just say it was a really expensive Birthday present for our Bina and she was more than worth it.
So now today she is finally getting better and at the moment she is sleeping. She had a temp of 105 last night and it has finally finally gone down to 100 with no assistance of medicine. We are so relieved to see our Corina doing better. She even gave us a few smiles this morning and talked like she normally does. She recieved a blessing from Dad and Grandpa Thomas this morning as well...and we are certain that has been a great help.
