4th of July Fun!

We had a great 4th of July yesterday. Just a simple day. This year we spent it with Jays side of the family. One of his older sisters was in town with her 5 kids and of course the rest of us the local siblings and families. We had a great feast (the Thomas' never scimp out on food). We just hung out, let the kids run around outside, visited with each other and just kept it simple.
It was so nice because it just felt like this year our kids were so much more cooperative. Rylec fell asleep for a little while in the evening while we did fireworks (he actually slept through some really loud ones too). And Corina totally wanted to be involved with the fireworks this year. She wasn't scared of them. As parents we are well aware that we have a sensitive daughter. She doesnt really like to play rough and tough or get dirty at times, but when some of the other cousins were running away from the loud pops and booms our Corina was just looking up at the sky, not afraid at all. Even though theres nothing wrong with her being sensitive sometimes or other kids liking to play rough and tough...it was just nice for her to be the less sensitive one this time.
